Job Description

We are working with a leading cosmetic surgery provider to recruit an experienced Theatre Manager to lead and manage a theatre team in a private hospital in Wythenshawe, operating 7 days a week.Theatre Manager Job Role:You will ensure that quality care is provided in the theatre environment and that all activities comply with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) & current Regulatory requirements.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To provide clinical and managerial leadership to the theatre staff
  • To promote and deliver patient focused and evidence based care
  • To undertake and delegate the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department while co-ordinating the management of the theatre team
  • Provide quality planned care for patients during their perioperative phase of care
  • To ensure that all departmental members deliver quality patient care
  • In conjunction with the Theatre team, Surgeons & Anaesthetists ensure the Operating lists are run efficiently
  • To work within the available resources and agreed theatre allocated budget
  • To ensure the Theatre Department is able to provide the necessary resources to enable the Company to meet Customer demand
  • To ensure the Department is compliant with all current Regulatory requirements.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Registered Nurse/ODP with NMC Or HCPC Registration.
  • Understanding of the day-to-day function of an operating department and should feel confident in their ability to lead by example and co-ordinate activity and flow safely and efficiently.
  • Experience leading and managing an Operating theatre team/department.
  • Ability to make managerial decisions when required.
