They are now seeking a Packaging Technologist on a 12-month fixed term contract. The business is well respected and successful - Its successis based on great products, hard work, flexibility, and innovation and delivering results.Job Purpose:To support packaging development and execution.Responsibilities:This role deals with a wide variety of work tasks including, but not limited to the following:

Responsible for end-to-end packaging creation - build and nurture relationships with factories and printers globally; liaising with factories and internal teams to build and finalise the scope; liasing with Head of Procurement regardingB Corp initiatives; briefing factories, requesting quotes, managing testing process and production of mockups. Some negotiation on packaging elements may be required.
Responsible for packaging die lines - scoping and assessment of die lines from factories and managing through across all pack formats; liaising with artwork team to ensure brand guidelines are adhered to; requesting print specs from printers and communicating to repro house.
Own and maintain packaging database: - ensure that accurate and timely collection of packaging data which fulfils; central point for all specification and substrate data; own the collection of detailed substrate information from suppliers.
Sustainability/Packaging Innovation - driving B Corp agenda from packaging perspective; driving recyclability, packaging reduction and sustainable solutions; tracking trends and insight to fuel next generation packaging.

Retailer requirements and understanding shelf specifications and how these impact packaging suitability and development.
Support Innovation team on the 3-5-year pipeline sufficiency and own the packaging requirements to deliver this effectively.
Technical team with reviewing and updating packaging specifications.
