Teaching Personnel are working closely with a partnership Primary school Wythenshawe in to find a Teaching Assistant to work in their behaviour unit. This Primary school has an alternative provision for pupils who struggle to access mainstream education.Pupils in these provisions predominately struggle with their social, emotional, and mental health meaning they have severe difficulties in managing their emotions and behaviour. As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to work 1:1 and in small groups tohelp pupils overcome any barriers they may be facing. This may include offering pastoral support to improve the pupils sense of wellbeing and get them in a position where they are ready to learn. When pupils are ready to learn you will offer support to helppupils with their English and Maths. This Teaching Assistant role will start in February/March and will last the whole academic year with the likelihood of it going permanent for the right individual. Your working hours will be 8:30-15:00 including a 30-minutelunch break.
