Job Description

Job Description:Milk Education is working in partnership with an OFSTED-rated Good secondary school, in Wythenshawe, Manchester, which is looking to appoint a highly-motivated and experienced Science Teacher. This job would be a temporary role that could potentially leadto a permanent position, after successfully completing a 3-month probationary period.The role would be full-time, 5 days a week working with pupils across KS3 and KS4 teaching Science, and would also be responsible for conducting science experiments. The schools class sizes vary from 20 to 25 students. Therefore, strong behaviour managementskills, an excellent presence within the class, along with an outstanding teaching manner is essential.Start date: 17/04/2023Daily rate: £120-£170 per dayResponsibilities of the Science Teacher:

  • Teaching pupils across KS3 and KS4 in Sciences
  • Supporting the development of individual education and overall pupil progress
  • Have a positive mental attitude and be a good communicator with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ensuring all students feel included and a part of the class regardless of their ability
  • Conducting safe and educational experiments
  • Ensuring the class is managed effectively and efficiently
  • Emphasise the importance of teamwork within a friendly environment
Science Teacher role requirements:
  • Strong passion for student progression and learning along with a deep passion for the sciences
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Taught in a UK Secondary School or British International School within the last two years
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
