Job Description

Are you a qualified Music teacher looking for a new role from January 2024 in ManchesterTradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a talented music teacher to join a secondary academy in south Manchester from January 2024 to July 2024.This is a full-time temporary supply teacher role to cover a maternity leave.The RoleTeacher of Music and Music TechnologyTeaching understanding music, music composition and music performance and music technology with a focus on innovative practical lessons with strong behaviour management.Experience of teaching Bandlab, Musical Theatre, and Composition and Songwriting would be beneficial.The ability to teach other subjects such as drama or performing arts to Key stage 3 would be beneficial.The academy are interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers, experienced QTS practitioners and further education music specialists with experience of teaching music to students aged 11 to 18.Five days a week.The SchoolSuccessful 11-16 Catholic academy in south ManchesterGood Ofsted June 2022Part of a Catholic multi academy trust working to ensure outstanding achievement and community wellbeing for catholic families in Manchester.State of the art facilities for teaching and learning including excellent facilities for performing arts.Supportive environment for trainee teachers and Early Career teachersExcellent transport links by car, bus and MetrolinkTo join us and be successful in this Music Teacher role, you will need to:

  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS or equivalent Further education qualifications such as PGCE14+ or Certificate of Education
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work full time in the UK
