Job Description

Are you a graduate looking for full time work in Wythenshawe, South Manchester Are you considering a career in teaching and looking to gain practical classroom experienceI am currently recruiting for an energetic and confident graduate for a cover supervisor role in an Ofsted Good Academy in Wythenshawe, Manchester.The role is from April 2023 on a full-time temporary basis.The RoleCover Supervisor Monday to Friday 8.45 - 3.05pmThe role will include:

  • Taking the lead in the absence of the teacher
  • Sole responsibility for teaching and learning
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons
  • Using provided resources to encourage learning
  • Managing the behaviour within the classroom
  • Developing independent study skills and peer learning
  • Pastoral and learning support
  • Managing handover back to the teacher
  • Experience of teaching or covering Maths, Science or English would be beneficial
