Job Description

We welcome applicants from the Armed Forces CommunityThe department of Radiology is excited to offer a Consultant Radiology post with a specialist interest in Cardiothoracic imaging to join our motivated and forward thinking team.This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant with MFT offering regional tertiary level services including:

  • Pioneering lung cancer RAPID diagnostic pathway
  • UK’s first commissioned lung health check programme
  • Regional mesothelioma, severe asthma and interstitial lung disease services and MDTs
  • Regional ‘difficult biopsy’ service provided by thoracic interventional radiologists
  • Acute cardiac services supported by a full complement of imaging services available and the Manchester Heart Centre
    • The Wythenshawe campus is a supraregional heart and lung transplant centre providing transplants to Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and beyond. The Trust is a National Aspergillus centre and is also one of only five Trusts to support an adult ECMO services.The successful candidate will be expected to support the general on call rota and provide a session of acute cover.Come to work in our great northern city, home to two of the world’s greatest football teams, Test cricket, Oasis, the Stone Roses and the Halle Orchestra as well as some of the best schools in the UK.
