Development Chemist - MidlandsAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Chemist to join a leading UK manufacturer of both branded and private label laundry and cleaning productsWe are seeking a chemist with a proven background in FMCG product delivery who will form part of the NPD team and will support development and commercial activities.As a skilled development chemist, you will be primarily responsible for new product development and cost effectiveness programsThe ideal candidate will have experience of working within the homecare sector and possess evidence of product delivery, innovation, and effective time management.The ability to develop relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers is crucial as the role will require significant overlap with production, quality, and commercial sides of the businessKey Responsibilities Applicants must be a graduate, or above in chemistry, and experienced in the formulation, development and testing of household cleaning products.Possess good practical and laboratory skillsSupport the development of the NPD pipeline, making use of external bodies, suppliers etc. to leverage new technologies for potential business impact, differentiated innovationsKeep abreast of market developments, building insights and identifying opportunities for new formatsManage own workload effectively ensuring activities are aligned with business timings and project budgetsSupport project management activities as required (SDS preparation, back of pack declarations etc)Present to internal and external stakeholders on project milestonesProvide product briefings/ status updates to suppliers and 3rd parties, when requiredProficient at NPD record keepingKey RequirementsExperience within a similar role in FMCG product developmentMinimum of degree level qualification in chemistryJob Type : Full-timeSalary : Dependent on experienceWorking hours : Monday to Friday ; 37.5hrs
