Job Description

Technical Operations Engineer Wynyard / Hybrid Working£45,000An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Technical Operations Engineer within a progressive and specialised global organisation on a permanent basis. This unique opportunity will guarantee the successful Technical Operations Engineer will ensure effectivetechnical management and day to day operation of key IT infrastructure systems and technologies.There will also be the requirement to monitor the systems by conducting routine daily checks. Continuous improvement, patching and upgrade of technically complex systems and processes is a key requirement of this role to deliver operational excellence anddata security.The Technical Operations Engineer will be responsible for the following duties;

  • Business continuity - Acting as a point of escalation for other team members and will address incidents and manage changes which require specific technical expertise or business knowledge. The role will work closely with other sites and outsourced serviceproviders to manage issue through to resolution.
  • System improvement - Have responsibility for identifying and leading technical upgrades and enhancements to key infrastructure systems (with support). Coordinating with all global stakeholders to agree planning, communications, and delivery of technicalupgrades.
  • System development - Manage the introduction of new and innovative technologies defining technical standards along with processes and procedures to ensure smooth rollout and effective transition to operational services.
  • Project support and service intake - Provide support from design to delivery for such components within IT and business projects which are associated with IT infrastructure.
The Technical Operations Engineer will have:
  • Microsoft Azure based Services. (Office365, Azure AD, Azure IAAS, EM+S, Intune)
  • Cisco Networking Services (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, IPTEL, Collaboration tools, Security Suite, WIFI)
  • Windows and Linux Operating systems.
  • VMWare
  • Monitoring system such as Solarwinds, Stealthwatch
