Job Title: Senior Contacts EngineerLocation: WymondhamSalary: 45-50kWe are proud to be working with our client whom fabricate, install and maintain pipework and steelwork for clients across the South and East of England, and they currently have a permanent oppertunity for a Senior Contacts Engineer to join their team.Job DescriptionTypes Of Contract - Mainly on-site process, utilities and service pipework systems installations in Carbon and Stainless steels and plastic materials. Some off-site fabrications, steelwork fabrications and installations, vessel fabrication and installation,plant and equipment installations and management of other associated trades. Ensuring Contract Financial Recovery Targets are achieved. Including producing contracting/sales strategies (in consultation with a Director).Day-to-day management of Site Agents and Supervisors.Maintaining compliance with all company safety & quality procedures and policiesLiaising with and maintaining good business relationships with clients and their representatives including promoting the companys services.Understanding / management of job of PED compliance and issue of close out packages.Material selection on utilities and service pipework systems.Senior Contracts Engineer ResponsibilitiesSales, Estimating and tendering activities.Follow up tenders and negotiating contracts/orders.Contract management including:Source materials, plant & subcontract works & maintain consumables/PPE stock and gas holding systems.Source appropriate labour and assist with labour planning activities.Programme works & monitor progress.Maintain cost, quality & safety procedures, and controls.Pricing and negotiating of variations.Preparing quality plans and overseeing quality controlPrepare method statements, risk assessments, safety plans and review safety on site.Deal with technical/engineering problems as they arise.Oversee site staff including discipline and motivation problems.Negotiate final accounts.Act as a planner, Q.S. and/or agent as and when needed.Receive/chase delivery notes, match with orders and P/L invoices, approve P/L invoices.Produce sales ledger invoices and carry out credit control activities.Production of timely & accurate Work in Progress/ Financial Exception reports.Maintain efficient documentation of all tendering and contracting activities.Qualifications/Experience RequirementsIEng Status (IMechE) / BTEC HND in Engineering.NEBOSH General certificate / IOSH - Managing Safety.CSCS cardsIndustry recognised qualifications.Full UK Driving Licence.Personal AttributesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels within the organisation.Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks.Caring nature with the ability to problem solve and be decisive when required.Excellent leadership skills.Ability to work autonomously.Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist engineering recruitment company based in Norfolk
