Job Description

Careers AdvisorLocation: Wymondham, NorfolkSalary: £30,296 - £34,834per annum (FTE) £23,374 - £27,356 per annum (Pro Rata) including an allowance for holiday payOur client was established in 2016 with the purpose of bringing like-minded schools together to work in partnership to deliver a world class education to pupils in Norfolk and Suffolk. The Education Trust currently consists of 7 secondary schools and 10primary schools, educating over 5,500 pupils.Their schools range in size from the largest state boarding school in the UK, to several very small, rural schools and they all share the belief that high quality education is broad ranging and embraces strong extra-curricular provision and an expectationthat all pupils can and should achieve.The RoleThey are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Level 6 qualified Careers Adviser to work across three of their Norfolk-based secondary schools.The post holder would work with the Trust’s central team and in-school teacher Careers Leads to ensure that the students receive the advice and guidance they require to make informed choices about their future training, employment or academic options.Skills & Experience

  • Ability to work productively with school Careers Lead and the SLT to promote careers as appropriate
  • Develop, at each school, a careers noticeboard sharing training and education routes and details of where students can get more information on them - most usually in a designated careers office.
  • Support and be involved with Ofsted inspections.
  • Experience in liaising effectively with school personnel, employers and a variety of training/educational establishments to further opportunities for students.
