Job Description

Our client is a training company with a unique approach. Since 2001, they have enabled over 70,000 students to develop valuable digital skills through their accelerated training programmes, and for the last eight years have been recognised amongst the Top20 IT Training Companies in the World.They are looking for a HR Manager to support the HR Team thoroughly and effectively delivering HR advice and support to the business.This role is varied and is responsible for managing ER casework, with strong Employment Law knowledge to coach and guide Managers through HR policies and processes, strengthening relationships across the business, organisational design and integration withwider Group.As this role is so varied, there will be administration duties and process building, supporting and upskilling of the HR Administrator and looking into automating as much as possible.Candidate requirements:Essential:CIPD Level 5 or above.Essential: Strong stakeholder management experience and extensive experience of providing high quality advice to managers and employees on a range of HR policies, procedures and HR best practice, in line with employment legislation. Experience of working with a variety of HR systems, including process research and improvement. Ability to undertake independent routine research and put forward proposals. Extensive proven generalist HR experience. Working within a fast-paced operational HR function. Leading on HR compliance activities. Highly developed and practical Employment Law knowledge, with significant experience leading on disciplinary, performance, grievance, sickness review, attendance management and probation review cases.Desirable: Experience of designing and/or delivering training workshops to managers on HR related topics. Proven change management experience with a clear and demonstrable understanding of consultation obligations, redundancy processes and variations to terms and conditions of employment. Working in a small team, with minimal supervision. Ability to coach, develop and build a HR team. Working within a start-up company or building a HR department, including clear stragetgy and plans.Knowledge:Essential: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong knowledge of E, D & I.Desirable: Best practice and employment law and legislation within Nordics, Germany and The Netherlands. Skills:Essential: Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner, verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating an ability to share knowledge/advice with colleagues and offer assistance to others where appropriate. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. High level of attention to detail. A proactive, professional and methodical approach to work along with the ability to influence and build effective business relationships with a strong customer focus. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight individual and group deadlines, managing ones own workload through effective prioritisation and time management. A strong understanding of the principles of effective employee relations, and the ability to problem solve, considering feasible options, applying your HR knowledge with a common-sense approach in order to seek pragmatic solutions. CI and change mindset. Holds self and others accountable.
