Job Description

Start Date: April 2021 Pay: MPS or UPS + SENA Required: April 2021 Salary: Teachers Main Scale / Upper Pay Scale plusSENA Grange Park is seeking to recruit a dynamic andinspirational teacher of Science to join our school. The successful candidatewith have an excellent subject knowledge and be able to contribute to continuedimprovements in progress and pupil attainment. Grange Park School is an autism specific provisionfor children ages 8 to 19 located in a purpose built school in Wrotham for KS3,4 and 5 and a satellite KS2 provision located in Stansted village 3 miles fromthe main school. Currently judged as "good" by Ofsted, we areambitious and are well placed to becoming outstanding. We are committed toproviding our pupils with the best possible learning opportunities andsupporting them in their development. Grange Park is part of KSENT a collaboration of 24special schools in Kent. This includes CLASS the Collaborative LearningAlliance. This creates numerous training and development opportunities, sharedworking practices and career progression. You DO NOT need experience in an SENsetting or ASC. The Stansted Site opened in September 2019following a £400,000 refurbishment modelled on the purpose built secondarysite. The building is located in the pretty rural village of Stansted next tothe village green. Currently judged as "Good" by Ofsted, the school isvery well placed to becoming Outstanding and is oversubscribed. Class sizes at the Stansted and Wrotham sites arebetween 11-13 pupils with a teacher and 1-2 learning mentors. At the Partnership colleges learning mentors aresupporting individual students or small groups of students aged 16-19 years inthe college tutor groups / classrooms and out in the community. The school offers comprehensive training in autism,exceptional CPD support and development opportunities through our Co-operativeTrust of SEN schools.
