Part Time - 3 days per week, Term Time only plus 2 inset daysSalary - KR 5 £19,335 - £20,483 (pro rota)Have you considered a career in teaching but would like to experience working in a school firstWrotham School is looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor who will work as part of a team and cover for absent staff.The successful candidate will be required to supervise whole classes undertaking pre-prepared activities provided by a teacher during short-term absence. You will be educated at GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English, with the ability to apply behaviour management policies and strategies which contribute to a purposeful learning environment. You must have the ability to work calmly under pressure, whilst being able to adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances/situations. Previous experience in teaching, cover supervision or classroom work in schools is desirable.The Supervisor role is paid equivalent to Kent Range 5 at £19,335 - £20,483.00 (Pro rota £8,459 - £8,961) for 19.5 hours a week (8.15am - 3.15pm), term time only plus two inset days.Wrotham School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
