Job Description

My client, leading suppliers in their field are looking for a Sales and Customer Service Agent to join their small team.Hours; 8.30am - 5.30pmLocation: Office based, Wotton-under-Edge, GloucestershireRole and ResponsibilitiesJoining the Customer Service and Internal Sales team, they are looking for a committed and hardworking individual wanting to continue their career in sales and customer service.This role is more focused on the interaction with customers, customer care and sales. The sales part is much more leaning to inbound sales rather than BD. and crucially can build rapport and strong relationships with customers. Must be happy working to salestargets. You will be provided with full training and support to build your technical knowledge of our product range.The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries ensuring customers are quoted and orders are processed via Sales Order Processing
  • Maintaining clear customer records on company CRM
  • Listening to customer requirements creating detailed proposal documents and presenting appropriately to make the sale’
  • Making outbound calls to customers to resolve any issues or for clarification of information relating to their account/order.
  • Organise and coordinate collections and deliveries.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints either over the phone or via email
  • Handling returns for customers and estimating handling charges.
  • Organising and coordinating collections
  • Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
  • Challenging any objections to convert your quotes.
  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
  • Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues
Candidate profile The ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills:
  • B2B telephone sales experience
  • Experience in consultative or technical sales (e.g., tech, construction, industrial) would be an advantage.
  • Client relationship skills
  • Enjoys working to sales targets and goals, always striving to overachieve.
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Positive, confident, and determined approach
  • Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection.
  • High degree of self-motivation, ambition, and energy
  • Good level of numeracy
