Job Description

Quality and Technical Support ExecutiveManchester£40,000£45,000 (depending on experience)Do you have a strong engineering backgroundAre you experienced within Quality control and have a passion for delivering customer excellenceIn a split reporting role (project dependant), the Quality & Technical Support Executive is responsible for various Quality & Technical functions. Collaborations with both customers and suppliers will be part of the role.Support on-going part-specific quality data requirements - as requested by customers. Overall within those functions, the responsibility is to drive and are achieving high levels of customer satisfaction in terms of on-going Quality (all aspects); provideinternal engineering / tech support and maintain internal performance levels which align with ISO9001 including annual appraisal / re-audit.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support on-going part-specific quality data requirements - as requested by customers.
  • Supplier PPAP approvals - liaise & handle accordingly to approval
  • Material Specification Checks - cross check incoming test data to customer spec
  • Quality Audits (internal) - various, ensure they are done comprehensively & at the necessary frequency
  • Vendor Rating - provide data to HQ division for issue of vendor performance report to suppliers.
  • Monitor / drive that despatch book records are maintained
  • Maintain customer & project folders to a standard which will be compliant with ISO9001
  • Engineering support functionsgenerate drawings in AutoCAD of components to support quotations & projects
  • Organise that all Tooling & Gauging shows customer ownership I/Dto specific customer instruction
  • Asia supplier liaison - in collaboration with our Asia based Business Support Manager
  • Material Specification Familiarity - support to new quotations
  • Measurement support. Part dimensions & density checks - carry out when needed to support issues & projects.
Candidate specification
  • Strong engineering background
  • Experience within quality control
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience using ISO 9001 or something similar
