Job Description

Purchase Ledger AssistantJob Type: Full TimeJob Location: ManchesterDue to continued growth our client is recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant, to join their busy finance department.Working alongside the Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be responsible for the purchase ledger process within the Company. This includes entering invoices, reconciliations, making payments via BACS, and setting up supplier accounts.With a minimum of 3 years experience and an eye for detail, some of your principal duties will be:

  • Inputting purchase invoices and ensuring they are labelled and scanned onto Sage
  • Ensuring all invoices are coded to the correct nominal codes
  • Setting up new supplier accounts
  • Working with customers and suppliers to reach accurate contra figures
  • Dealing with queries in a timely manner
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Experience with Sage 200
  • You must have a strong eye for detail
  • Highly conscientious, diligent, self motivation and enthusiastic
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices including auditing and financial record keeping and reporting
  • You must have GCSE Maths & English (AAT qualified would be beneficial)
