Job Description

Systems AdministratorIm currently helping business in Stockport find a Systems Administrator on a permanent basis. The role is remote for the time being but will be office based when we get back to normality.You would join a small close-knit team where you will play a vital part in new infrastructure projects that are about to kick off in the coming months.The business itself is a manufacturing company who have grown from strength to strength over the years and are now looking to expand and bring on a Systems Administrator.Salary: up to £30,000 (DOE) Location: StockportThe job:

Maintain existing software configurations, and their related applications

Project lead in upgrading lan/wan infrastructure

Use automation tools to develop new processes to manage our infrastructures

Document your work and maintain/update documentation for existing applications

Support applications and serve as a systems administrator for those applications

Be the subject matter expert for assigned applications

Engage with customers to address issues or implement config changes to applications as needed

Install, configure and, document new or existing applications

Participation in projects to update or deploy new applications

Collaborate with other team members as needed for support/maintenance

Key Skills:

3-5 years of professional work experience

General understanding of cloud offerings such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft M365 platform

Experience with lan/wan firewalls, Switches and Access Points

Desire to learn, be self-motivating, and willing to share knowledge with others within or outside of team

NIST Information Security framework

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

General knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Intune and auto-pilot

General knowledge of PowerShell
