My client is looking for a Responsible for the day-to-day supervision and deployment of staff to ensure the highest standard of care for residents. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Stallcombe House ethos and philosophy: To positively promote and follow the ethos and philosophy of Stallcombe House when carrying out all aspects of the role. Residents Responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care is provided for residents and that they are supported appropriately at all times during the shift. Ensure a safe, secure and happy home for residents. Liaise with parents/carers, Healthcare professionals and Local Authorities as appropriate. Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed and that handovers are undertaken effectively. Responsible for ensuring that residents are undertaking their activities and attending appointments. Responsible for administering medication and recording appropriately. Responsible for ensuring that all paperwork relating to the shift is captured and logged appropriately. Responsible for ensuring that all incidents/accidents are managed and logged appropriately. Responsible for ensuring that residents are provided with nutritious meals which uphold the ethos of Stallcombe House. Undertake personal support for residents as necessary. Staff Responsible for the allocation of staff on shift to ensure that they are deployed effectively to meet the needs of the residents. Ensure the allocation of staff allows the resident to undertake all scheduled activities and appointments. 2 Act as the first point of contact for all staff queries Responsible for supporting staff to ensure that they are providing the highest level of care to residents. Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times. Provide a motivating and collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and open communication. Health and safety Ensure that staff and residents are compliant with Health and Safety guidance at all times. Responsible for highlighting any concerns with the buildings and equipment used at Stallcombe House to ensure they are fit for purpose. Proactively manage the identification of risk and ensure any risks are managed appropriately. Other Duties Responsible for ensuring bedrooms and communal areas are clean and well maintained. Responsible for upkeep and cleanliness of all shared vehicles. Overall responsibility for all fire evacuations and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed. To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all statutory, regulatory and organisational guidance in relation to the role. Liaise with Senior Managers as appropriate on operational issues. Any other duties as required. Skills Qualifications Knowledge and Experience The post holder must have the following: - Experience of working with and supporting adults with learning difficulties. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational skills. Good numeracy/literacy and IT skills. Hold, or be willing to obtain, NVQ Level 3 in Health and social care (or equivalent). It would be advantageous for the job holder to have the following: - Experience of managing staff.
