Job Description

Senior RadiographerWe are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our Radiology team as a Senior Radiographer.The RoleOur small Radiology Department, with its state-of-the-art technology, enjoys a friendly, dedicated and multi-disciplinary team, which is committed to delivering high quality diagnostic imaging, through a range of radiographic procedures.Duties will include all aspects of general radiography including plain film, theatre work, mammography and fluoroscopy. Training for mammography will be considered for the right candidate.The PersonThe successful candidate will have the ability to work within a team whilst also being able to use their own initiative and work independentlyEssential requirements –

  • DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Experience of working in orthopaedic theatres
  • Certificate of competency in mammography and post qualification experience is desirable
  • We have a duty to apply for an enhanced disclosure should your application be successful.Nuffield Health Exeter HospitalThe Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopsy suite. There are two ward areas; an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
