Job Description

Goldman & Fine Group is looking to hire a Bodyshop/Workshop Controller for one of our prominent body/workshops in Barnsley (S73). Excellent pay, benefits and bonus scheme are available, with superb working conditions.Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Body/Workshop Manager and act as deputy
  • Control of the day-to-day bodyshop operations
  • Provide timely, accurate customer estimates
  • Maintain company, manufacturer and insurance approvals to a high standard
  • Monitor the number of vehicles coming in for repair
  • Ensure jobs are fairly and correctly allocated to the bodyshop/workshop technicians, according to existing skill levels
  • Update staff on performance and technical/quality issues
  • Monitor workshop output, focusing on targets
  • Work closely with the Body/Workshop Manager and Office Manager to ensure work progresses efficiently through the workshop
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years hands-on experience in a UK bodyshop, with good all-round knowledge of vehicle repair, staff and target management. You must be able to manage your time and workload efficiently, working to a high standard witha professional attitude. You will have excellent communication skills, with both colleagues and customers, able to explain issues at the correct level.H&S will be at the forefront of your mind, including risk assessment, visitor safety, staff well-being and PPE for bodyshop staff. A clean UK driving license and an excellent level of English are necessary.How to apply:
