Job Description

Our client a well-established and highly reputable food manufacturer is looking to add an experienced Assistant Area Hygiene Manager to their well established and highly successful team.The role will involve managing, monitoring, and improving hygiene standards within the low care area of the factory, ensuring that high standards of factory hygiene are maintained without affecting the safety of the product or the manufacturing processes.Further duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Being the point of contact and providing high standards of hygiene services in the absence of the hygiene manager
  • Effectively liaising with the other departmental managers, technical managers, and key stakeholders
  • Supervising the production and operation teams on a day-to-day management regime.
  • Ensuring the strictest of Health & Safety is always adhered to.
  • Recommend and deliver relevant training and operational implementations where you deem necessary.
  • Maintain and updating the management information system, reporting Hygiene KPI’s, Microbiological standards, effective labour utilisation, stock control management, budget management and cleaning schedules.
    • In order to be considered for this position you would need to be evidence experience in the below:
  • Proven experience within a food environment - preferably hold a BRC/EFSIS accreditation or HACCP
  • Have Food hygiene certificates within cleaning and disinfection.
  • A track record in people management, specifically within a food environment
  • Experience within Auditing would be advantageous.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
  • Ability to maintain records and write reports
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours
    • The hours of this role are negotiable and may change on occasion due to workflow and headcount numbers.Salary is £30,900 with additional package such as salary reviews, pension, private healthcare etcTo be considered please apply below Required skills
