Our client is one of the UKs leading contract caterers, providing fresh food services solely to independent schools and colleges.They are a team of experienced professionals who tailor catering service provision specifically to suit children, of all ages, meeting the bespoke requirements of each school.Our client are currently looking for a talented and proven Head Chef in one of our clients prestigious sites in Godalming, Surrey. You will be working in a great kitchen environment using and serving fresh, seasonal produce using modern techniques and always looking at developing the food offer.As well as having excellent presentation, communication and man management skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food and service and possess bags of enthusiasm.As the Head Chef You will:*Be a proven, hands-on leader*Have the ability to train and inspire*Have a progressive career to date*Have good Health & Safety knowledge*Be financially astute with good understanding of menus and costings*Be up to date with current food trendsThe site caters for day pupils and staff and includes not only a breakfast lunch and afternoon snack service but also an extensive hospitality service. This is primarily a Monday to Friday role, although you will be required to work one Saturday a month and be flexible in hours. The role is for 48 weeks a year to cover term time and lets.An enhanced DBS disclosure must be obtained for this Head Chef role and this appointment will be offered on return of satisfactory professional references.This Head Chef position offers a competitive salary and a good work life balance.
