We are now recruiting for a Sales & Purchasing Coordinator to join our busy team. Reporting to the Purchasing & Operations Lead, you will be responsible for validating orders, raising purchase orders, chasing outstanding orders, coordinating delivery and logistics with both internal and external agencies working closely with sales support & internal account managers, production scheduling and other administrative duties.This is an ideal role for a candidate with previous purchasing experience looking for more responsibility in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:+ Request quotes from suppliers and place subsequent purchase orders+ Assisting Managed Services with ad-hoc capital spend projects+ Quality check and validate orders+ Coordinate the delivery and logistics with both internal and external agencies+ Communicate and update order status within the business+ Work closely with the sales and sales support team on ensuring customer service levels are met+ Taking an active role to ensure the company meets forecasted targets+ Maintain ETAs, proactively highlighting slippages internally and working on resolutions+ Update and maintain internal reports+ Develop/maintain good supplier relationships+ Coordinate customer equipment builds with the internally based Configuration Team+ Liaise with international shipping partners for orders outside of the UK+ Provide administrative support to the Purchasing & Operations LeadSkills & Experience:+ Must possess strong administrative skills, preferably gained within a supply chain environment+ Previous purchasing/logistics and/or scheduling experience+ Analytical perspective of data+ Deal with issues in a timely and effective manner+ Proficient in MS packages including Word, Excel and Outlook with computer skills for browser-based applications+ Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders through a variety of different mediums, with the ability to articulate solutions clearly and methodically+ The ability to maintain and build relationships both internally (with colleagues in other departments) and externally (with suppliers)+ The ability to work calmly and methodically under pressure+ Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills+ Ability to self-motivate and manage own workload+ Accuracy and attention to detail+ Proactive in approach with a flexible attitude+ Team player - understands the importance of collaborative workingQualifications: Educated to A Level standard (or equivalent). CIPS qualified preferred but not required.Location: Based from our Headquarters at Wisborough Green (Guildford 30 minutes, Horsham 20 minutes). Access to own transport is essential due to our location. Some travel to other office locations may also be required.Hours: 9.00am to 5.30pm / Monday to Friday.
