Ockwells Ltd is a member of SIG Trading Group.SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe with strong positions in its core markets as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and as a merchant of roofing and exteriors products.Ockwells Temporary Site Protection are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to cover the Northeast region selling temporary site protection solutions into national, regional and local house builders.What does the role involveAs a Business Development Manager, your role will be heavily centred on providing a solution-based sales approach to both new and existing clients. You will be expected to build lasting relationships that enable you to manage the accounts within your portfolioto maximise revenue and profit in the correct way, whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer experience.You will have a strong focus on field sales activities like customer and construction site visits and will require the ability to sell acrossthe full SIG portfolio, based on identifying customer needs. The successful candidate will require: Demonstrable experience in the construction industry Experience in building lasting relationships and have the drive, capability and confidence to make personal visits, presentations and telephone calls to both existing and new customers A clear understanding of how to assess markets and devise strategies to win profitable business The ability to demonstrate the ability to think creatively, with high ethical standards To be a professional, well-organised, self-motivated and self-directed individual, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Experience in sales in B2B industries and strong analytical and data management skills Experience of using Salesforce CRM and strong MS Office The drive and determination to succeedIn return we offer: Highly competitive salary with annual pay award and staff recognition schemes Excellent bonus scheme Company Car/Car Allowance 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
