Job Description

SEN Teaching Assistant!Slough Area!Up to £110 per day depending upon experience!Temp to perm basis!We are recruiting for a new school which is an independent specialist school for autistic children between three and nineteen years of age. This dynamic school is located in Slough is run by a dedicated team who pride themselves in providing exceptionaleducation. They support the development of children who are happy, confident, have a positive self-esteem, are able to communicate their feelings, wishes and needs.As a teaching assistant at this school, you will work closely with the teachers and other staff to deliver a personalised curriculum that meets the needs and interests of each child. You will also assist with the daily routines and activities of the school,such as preparing resources, setting up the learning environment, supervising playtimes, and ensuring the health and safety of the pupils. You will also have the opportunity to participate in training and professional development, and to be part of a supportiveand collaborative team.To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or special needs, or equivalent experience
  • A good understanding of autism and the challenges and strengths of autistic children
  • A positive and flexible attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt
  • A commitment to the ethos and values of the school, and to the safeguarding and wellbeing of the pupils
  • A DBS check and references
