We are looking to appoint a bright and articulate team member to join our Loan team.The successful candidate will need to be very comfortable speaking to business owners on the phone about how we can help. They must be able to connect, show empathy, and build a professional relationship with each customer.The candidate will be the first voice the customer hears when calling in, so it is vital the applicant is able to show complete professionalism and clarity in their delivery.Building engagement with the customer will be a key element of the role.Responsibilities:- Handle all aspects of new applications from the Introductory Call to handling all queries.- Speak to our applicants about their business and be able to obtain the information required to proceed with processing their application.- Input data into our loan management platform as the applicant speaks with you.- Be able to handle all new applications as well as on-going applications and any customer service queries that may come in.- Be able to show a business-like and professional manner with all applicants.- Be able to follow the script provided for the Introductory Call whilst also showing a genuine interest in their business.- Be able to show empathy when our applicants come to us with problems they may be facing whilst looking for a business loan.- Have a good understanding of the type of businesses that apply so you are able to build a rapport with each applicant you speak with.- Be able to keep up with the number of Introductory Calls required per day whilst taking on new applications.- Be able to recognise when an application does not meet criteria and be able to discount it from your cases.- Keep pipeline case notes updated to ensure you’re aware of your progress on each application.What were looking for:- Excellent spoken and written English- Extremely comfortable speaking to customers over the phone- Excellent organisational skills and be able to follow procedures- Very friendly, professional and business-like manner when speaking to our customer- Keen to learn and be open to change with our evolving practices- Be able to work in a team, in an open plan office environmentBenefits:- Pay review after probation pass- Full training structure- Full Gym membership with access to the pool and classes, all included in your membership- Access to our Wellbeing & Financial support service 24/7, for you and your partner / family member- Bonus scheme- Pension scheme- 21 days holiday plus bank holidaysPlease note:As you can appreciate we are currently overwhelmed with applications of individuals looking for both short term and permanent work and we can therefore only contact those applications that have relevant skills for positions that we currently have available.Should you not hear from us within a week, please assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.In line with GDPR regulations, we are making you aware that to proceed with your application we will need to contact you via email, telephone and/or text message.
