Job Description

My client is a World Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Company.They are currently recruiting for a Back Shift Foreman to join the joint venture responsible for the construction and delivery of a major HS2 Station in Northwest London. The circa £1bn project will include the delivery of six underground platforms as wellas up to eight platforms on the adjacent Great Western Main Line.The Back Shift Foremans duties will include supervision of the site labour force, health & safety, standing it down/ checking/ concrete pours/ 75% site/ 25% paperwork, in addition to writing reports at the end of every shift.The hours for this role may vary slightly due to the demands of the project but the hours are generally anticipated to be 11am until 19-00.This is an excellent opportunity for an established individual or an up and coming Foreman that has aspirations to work on one of the UKs most prestigious projects.Duties include:

  • Ordering plant, labour and materials
  • Leading toolbox talks, daily briefings and site inductions
  • Working with the Site Agent and commercial team to raise early warning notices
  • Promote the highest levels of health and safety on site
  • Liaise with stakeholders on public facing projects
  • Ensure your work force is working safely, effectively and efficiently
  • Reading drawings with the site engineer to coordinate gangs and overcome design difficulties
  • Ensure risk assessments and method statements and being adhered to
