As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring all compliance work is completed within the business target dates.
Overseeing a small team that completes small accounting duties
Reviewing and filing year-end accounts, tax returns, and capital gains tax computations.
Assisting with the implementation of R&D Tax claims into the accounts and tax returns of limited companies.
Providing support on payroll services for the wider client base.
Preparing and reviewing periodic management accounts and information.
Advising on the improvement of profitability and business efficiency through continuous monitoring and implementing effective business controls.
Assisting with the training and development of less experienced team members.
Build relationships with new clients and upsell other services.

The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role should have:

At least 5 years experience of working in a practice.
Be AAT or ACCA qualified or part-qualified
Experience using TaxCalc, Xero software and various cloud-based accounting software preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Engange in conversation proactively.
A proactive approach to introducing new clients to the company and promoting its services.
Full driving license
