Job Description

Network Programmer £40k + benefitsMust Haves:

  • C++
  • C#
  • Server Meshing / MMO (massive multiplayer online)
    • Requirements:
  • Network team has 3 people, this role reports into the Network Director.
  • Must submit a portfolio or examples of their work and coding capabilities
  • Must have C++ experience
  • Must have server meshing
  • Must have MMO - massive multiplayer online
  • Game Engine experience = Cry engine or Amazon Lumberyard
  • Game play experience from a network point of view - network character motion / network physics / network weapons
    • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Working on our core network library
  • Research and implement new cutting edge networking technology and tools
  • Analyse, refactor and improve upon existing network codebase
  • Helping programmers from other teams to implement networked game features
  • Assist team members with debugging and fixing network related problems
  • Pro-actively identify and address problems
  • Integrating the client and server with our backend services
  • Mentoring junior members of the team
    • Skills:
  • Strong C++ and multi-threaded programming skills
  • Work well in a cooperative team environment
  • Strong software debugging skills to effectively track/diagnose/solve a variety of complex issues
  • Work well in a cooperative team environment
  • Ability to innovate, plan, and deliver full features
  • Excellent English communication, both written and verbal
    • Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experienced in TCP and UDP network programming
  • Experience developing server mesh technologies
  • Experience profiling and optimizing (network, CPU, memory, IO)
  • Development experience in Windows/Linux
  • Experience with client/server development network traffic management
  • Management experience
    • Working hours: Core hours are 10am - 4pm, flexible around this as long as youre working 8 hours per day, Company doesnt do "crunch time"Benefits: 20 days holiday + bank holidays, Pension, Free Parking, Bonus, Healthcare / Dental Required skills
