Job Description

Summary The Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days which will include weekends and public/ school holidays. We operate a staggered start shift pattern, starts can be 8am & 9am. Working days are 7.5 hours long. This is a permanent contract,with paid holidays, plus free National Trust membership, a company pension scheme, with Perks at Work Scheme and 20% Discount in all National Trust shops and National Trust holidays.You will not be required to work nights, split shifts and will be off on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as the property is fully closed to the public.The Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 depending on experienceDuration:This is a permanent role which offers realistic salary progression based on annual reviews.A note from Rikki (F&B Manager): We are a happy and hardworking team here at Quarry Bank Mill We are looking for a like-minded skilled Lead Chef to join us, someone who can demonstrate the ability and drive to hit the ground running and who wants to be part of achieving our realisticand fulfilling goals. What youll be doing You will be working within a bustling atmosphere as part of enthusiastic team, the role oflead Chef plays a core part in providing a fantastic food offer to our visitors. You will ideally enjoy preparing food from scratch using fresh/ seasonal ingredientsand will be confident with creating bakes and cakes, breads, and cookies. You will be comfortable in following recipes from our Cookbook with accuracy but will also relish the opportunity to work closely with our Head Chef Christopher Rowbotham in creatinglocal dishes, personal to the property to elevate our offer. You will be based primarily at the production kitchen which is situated in our main restaurant The Weaving Shed with all the equipment you would expect at your disposal. It is from here you willproduce great food for the restaurant, Upper Garden Caf, and pantry.
