Completions OfficerLocation: WilmslowSalary: Competitive Market Salary (to be discussed on application)Permanent We are seeking a skilled and motivated Completions Manager to lead and support crucial aspects of our Operational Resilience Framework.Our client is an award-winning bank with a vast range of specialist mortgages, savings accounts, and business finance support. They can provide financial services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), homeowners, landlords, as well as individuals.With Headquarters nationwide, they pride themselves on delivering innovative and bespoke banking to meet the needs of its customers, becoming a complete finance solution.As the Completions Manager you will oversee the final stages of the mortgage process, ensuring a smooth transition from mortgage offer to completion. Reporting to the Completions Team Manager, the Completions Manager will support and manage queries relating to Residential, Standard and Specialist Buy to let mortgage applications after issue of offer through to funds release and completion. You will provide exceptional service to customers,intermediaries, and solicitors, making timely decisions and ensuring all offer and lending criteria are met. The Completions Manager will need to manage each application to ensure appropriate controls are in place, standard operating procedures are followed and any risk to the business or customer is understood and mitigated.Responsibilities of the Completions Manager:

  • Process Certificates of Titles (COTs) ensuring compliance with loan offer conditions and accuracy of details for completion.
  • Manage release of completion funds, meeting deadlines and ensuring transfer to panel solicitors.
  • Review residential and buy-to-let mortgage applications up to £1,000,000, aligning with bank criteria.
  • Handle legal correspondence, liaising with underwriters and third-party partners for efficient completions.
  • Understand and apply lending policies, including complex structures and asset classifications.
  • Proactively update customers and brokers on post-offer application progress using the agreed contact strategy.
  • Administer mortgage documents, understanding securities and legal processes for risk management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Utilise experience in credit assessments, Land Registry info, and fraud prevention tools.
  • Develop skills to identify scheme abuse and fraudulent activities, provide training to colleagues, and support department resilience.
As the Completions manager, you will be expected to:
  • Drive a proactive and professional approach to achieve optimal outcomes for customers from the start.
  • Take an enthusiastic approach toward development initiatives (personal, team, and departmental) to enhance the customer experience and stay updated on regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and pursue learning opportunities for personal improvement.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of both Residential and Commercial lending, including complex structures and asset classifications.
  • Assist, coach, and mentor team members in obtaining post-offer authority.
  • Collaborate effectively, managing stakeholders and inter-team dependencies for successful delivery.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic environment, managing changes, improvements, regulatory controls, and risk mitigation strategies while balancing work volumes and pace.
