Job Description

Trinity House Group are exclusively supporting a Private Equity backed SME manufacturing business to recruit an experienced #1 Financial Controller. This truly is a career defining role for an ambitious candidate looking to progress to Finance Director withina 12 month timeframe.You will be become a key part of an outstanding leadership team. Reporting to and business partnering a highly experienced Managing Director and Operations Director to drive long-term growth plans, lead the day to day finance function, provide insights andsupport critical decision making which demands high quality, detailed commercial analysis.You will be the finance lead on a range of value add projects including ERP implementation.The role:

  • Managing all aspects of the finance and accounting operations
  • Business Partnering the Managing Director and Operations Director to drive profitability & increase margin
  • Create comprehensive pricing models to support bid & tender processes
  • Influence key commercial decision making with accurate detailed commercial analysis
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts
  • Create monthly packs and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
  • Support month-end and year-end close process,
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Oversee all company accounts and investments
  • Manage cash flow and forecast
  • Lead, motivate and mentor the finance team
  • Continually improve processes, controls and reporting promoting a best-in-class finance function
  • Lead a range of value add projects
  • Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
You will be / have :
  • A fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA with industry experience)
  • The ability to challenge and influence board level stakeholders
  • Able to convey complex financial and accounting issues in a clear, focused and concise way
  • Very high level of initiative and self-motivation
  • Strong excel & IT literacy
  • Must demonstrate an ability to integrate and work closely with non-finance counterparts in a leadership capacity.
  • Have an attention to detail that improves forecast integrity, balanced with the ability to see the full financial plan and to be able to articulate the business strategy
  • A proactive and transformational mindset, always challenging the status quo for improvements to deliver best in class’ processes and tools in an evolving environment
