WHAT TO EXPECT We are looking for Senior Leaders in Virtual Engineering to join us and lead vehicle or system programmes with concept simulation, modelling expertise and tools from research thru to the delivery phase to JOB1. As part of the eDriveline team you will be responsible for developingthe EDU Cooling System for the next generation of in-house manufactured propulsion systems. The purpose of this role is to work on the design, development, and validation of the EDU cooling system. The EDU Thermal Engineer will simulate, analyse and then optimise multiple EDU cooling system architectures and solutions using 1D simulation. Key Accountabilities and responsibilities · Manage the development of Automotive Components/Systems using engineering knowledge and experience combined with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) techniques, to meet Thermal performance targets · Run CAE analysis, summarise results and feedback conclusions to the component Lead Engineers in an efficient manner. · Able to work effectively with design teams to develop and optimise solutions considering multi-attributes within defined deadlines and time constraints. And have some product knowledge and awareness of potential design constraints (packaging, manufacturingetc.) and ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions · Coordinate and lead projects and teams including the feedback of results as required through design / project reviews · Support and present at design reviews with key stakeholders: COC component design teams, PAT teams, packaging teams · Support the continual development of tools and techniques which enhance capability, improve quality and robustness of Virtual models WHAT YOU’LL NEED The ideal candidate will have experience in continuous improvements to business processes to support both customer service and financial objectives. A PhD/Master level of education with relevant industrial research is preferable.
