Job Description

Technical Artist/ Outside IR35 / 6 Months /Fully RemoteI am currently on the lookout for Unreal Engine Technical artists for a gaming / VR / animation studio who I am partnered with. They have won a number of projects and are now actively recruiting with successful candidates starting from the beginning of October.Responsibilities:

  • To collaborate with the technical and artistic teams to create beautiful, optimised assets and systems for XR platforms and high-resolution projected spaces.
  • Design improved materials and shaders.
  • Create VFX and particle systems for output in VR and AR
  • Work with the tech team to develop unique VFX assets (using Blueprints and a unique C++ codebase).
Key Skills:
  • knowledge of the UE4 technologies at a high level
  • a thorough knowledge of the rendering processes and how to frame-rate-optimize
  • Excellent understanding of the Blueprint system in UE4
  • knowledge of available post-processing techniques
  • outstanding proficiency with Cascade Particle Editor
  • Work portfolio to show experience and aptitude
Bonus:
  • Knowledge of the Niagara VFX System
  • VR experience
  • Handtracking Experience
