Everyone works hard and gets on!BENEFITS: Pension, Development and training, HolidayTHE ROLE: The Subcontractor Clerk will assist the Finance Manager by raising all Subcontractor Certificates, answering all subcontractor related phone/email queries and ensuring all accounting systems and payments are up to date.DutiesSubcontractor Management

  • Raise all Subcontractor Certificates received by Commercial Managers on Eque2, ensuring a matching invoice has been received from the Subcontractor.
  • Management of C.I.S Verifications & Insurances
  • Deduct C.I.S in accordance with HMRC Legislation.
  • Process Subcontractor Payments & Post payments in Sage.
  • Issue Remittance Advices to Subcontractors
  • Issuing C.I.S statements to Subcontractors
  • Maintaining Clean Ledgers & Filling System
  • Ganger Management
  • Process all ganger invoices to Eque2
  • Deduct C.I.S in accordance with HMRC Legislation.
  • Process ganger payments weekly.
  • Retentions
  • Maintain Subcontractor retention schedule
  • Reporting
  • File Monthly C.I.S Returns
  • Other Duties
  • Provide cover for the accounts assistant during leave periods
  • Completion of Ad-hoc duties upon instruction from the Finance Manager
  • AAT Level 3 Qualified or similar accounting qualification.
  • Experience with Sage, Eque2 & COINs would be a bonus
  • 3 Years Minimum Accounting Experience within the Construction Industry
  • Excellent Knowledge of C.I.S Legislation
  • Previous Experience in submitting C.I.S Returns
