Job Description

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Senior Sustainability Engineer to join a leading UK building services, engineering consultancy on a permanent basis in London. Our client offers a range of expert services including data centres, energy centres, commercial projects and fit-outs. Their teams have a wealth of expertise and experience which has resulted in a catalogue of notable clients and recognised builds. Our client is looking for a Senior Sustainability Engineer to work from home.The chosen candidate will have a variety of roles and responsibilities to ensure the success of the business, they will include:

  • Providing strategic low-energy design advice
  • Identifying sustainability risks and appropriate mitigation measures and highlighting any opportunities to increase the organisations sustainability credentials
  • Monitoring the design process to ensure that the scheme design objectives are being followed and the design meets the clients requirements
  • Conducting BREEAM Pre-Assessment and provide design advice
  • Producing evidence requirements for BREEAM credits
  • Undertaking a gap analysis report should the desired rating not be achievable
  • Liaising with key client stakeholders to develop their sustainability strategies
  • A range of additional ad hoc duties to support the wider team
    • In order to carry out the required tasks efficiently, candidates must have the following skills and experience:
  • HND or Degree qualified Engineering.
  • Preferably chartered.
  • At least 6 years experience with Breeam.
  • Experience with Leed and IES although not essential
  • Producing high quality reports
  • Varied experience within project types
  • Able to work well within a team
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
