This is an extremely exciting time to be joining one of the leading student accommodation providers / developers in the UK who are running a 2 year building improvement programme across their national property portfolio. We are looking for an experienced programme manager to help deliver this complex building improvement programme across their large occupied residential portfolio, including essential building safety initiatives, which still must be carried out, and a lot of work can be done remotely. Our client owns and operates over 20,000 beds and are proud to offer very high quality, safe and well located student homes. With this, part of the improvement plan will include running a programme of work streams that will include large planned refurbishments, exterior cladding, fit outs, internal and external re-decorations, remodelling of existing assets and space optimisation.Having an appreciation of working in a predominantly constant live environment is really important, and would be helpful it you have had similar experience in the past, perhaps in the residential/hotel sector if not student accommodation. You will run several projects simultaneously to ensure that the desired project and work-stream outcomes and objectives are delivered. Youll appoint and manage external contractors and consultants, so client side experience is preferable, though not essential and would certainly suit a consultancy project manager wanting to make the move client side.Ideally youll have a construction or surveying background and be MRICS, MCIOB, PRINCE2, MAPM or equivalent qualified and have delivered a roll out of programme of works before. Similar to perhaps a CapEx plan or construction programme across a large property portfolio - this could be any sector from housing, retail, hotels - its the programme management thats key.Being able to start fairly imminently would be preferable, as would being happy to travel (when permitted).Long term, the role would still offer flexbility and home working to suit around the requirements of the job. Based in central London, though you not be required in the office every day. Required skills
