Job Description

An exciting permanentopportunity has arisen within a rapidly growing FinTech firm based in the City of London.They are looking for a Platform engineer to help develop the next generation of a number of real-time systems primarily in an Azure environment.As this is a Platform Engineer position, day to day, you will be expected to work on the -

  • Renewal of the Banks flagship critical real-time system
  • Migration of workloads to public cloud (principally Azure)
  • Working using DevOps best practices
    • Essential skills
  • Platform Engineer background (or DevOps / Cloud Engineer background)
  • Extensive hands on Azure experience - including design, build and deployment using CI/CD
  • Micro services including containerisation and API Management
  • Experience in PowerShell, JavaScript or Terraforms, Jenkins, Chef and Puppet
    • Desirable skills
  • Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
  • Fluency in one or more programming or scripting languages, e.g. Python, Java, C#.Net , Go, Ruby, Bash
  • Knowledge of common databases, such as MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle
  • Knowledge of Linuxplatform
