DevOps Engineer 12 months London SC cleared SC enhanced checksInside IR35 The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the following activities and artefacts: implement improvements to system deployed on AWS deployment as agreed with cyber project team, to include, but not limited to:*Upgrades to upgrading application (V3.5, 4) as required*improvements to system deployed on AWS deployment to improve performance, usability and reduce costs*Facilitate integration with other tools e.g. De-confliction tool, AWS translation*Deploy Dutch Analytical Toolbox and integrate with Application*Deploy Kibana*LDAP integration*Improvements to application logging*Deploy Grafana dashboards for ETL status tracking*Mentor and train other developers in a non-line management capacity *Act as a "tech lead" and experience in mentoring *Experience presenting work at user groups and conferences*Degree in Computer Science, AWS certificationsWe are currently developing software in a new cloud environment in Azure and are seeking new DevOps engineers. *Expertise with AWS with Terraform*Experience with GitLab, building CI/CD Pipelines*Experience with securing cloud deployments and building in business continuity (backups, etc)*Database administration experience, ideally in a cloud environment (MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres)*Experience with ElasticSearch *Experience with Python, Celery, RabbitMQ *Outstanding ability to develop efficient, highly optimised and clear code *An ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience *Experience working on technical projects within a team*Experience working using collaboration tools such as blogs and instant messaging*System administration and configuration management skills *Working knowledge of unix-like operating systems such as Linux and/or Mac OS X *Experience of handling large data sets and scaling their handling and storage Timescales (for SC+ clearance) The SC+ security clearance process can take 3-4 months, and sometimes longer, from the date of the submission of accurately completed security forms depending on the level of security clearance already held and the vetting history of the individual.
