Our client, a global insurance business is seeking an experienced Data Developer/Analyst to work in their London (City) office.You will be responsible for end-to-end design, development and deployment of new data solutions and changes to existing solutions within the UK business. Responsibilities:Responsible for collecting and documenting detailed technical business requirements and translating these into solution designs for implementation.Designing, coding, testing (module / component tests), moderately complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications and subsequent iterations, using agreed standards and tools.Support end-to-end development and deployment of new technology solutions and enhancements to existing solutions in support of the UK Branch seriatim processing, reporting and analysis objectives.Provide second and third-level support for the end-to-end data on-boarding, administration, and reporting systems.Skills and ExperienceBusiness intelligence and data analytics experienceKnowledge of ETL tools and technologies Strong coding skills with Microsoft SQL, including SSIS, and VBKnowledge of Microstrategy or similar reporting and analytics technologies an advantageAnalysis and documentation of business demands, requirements engineering, solution design, derivation of system requirements, and testingWorking knowledge of the processes of software development and product life cycleExperience in architecting and structuring data warehouses and repositoriesKnowledge of Microsoft SQL 2008 an advantageExperience of the financial services or insurance sector an advantageBadenoch + Clark acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
