Job Description

A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious candidate looking to move into an Assistant Accountant role within an established bank.This international bank is looking to recruit a Part-Qualified Accountant reporting into the Head of Financial Control & Reporting. Fundamentally this is a core reporting and operational role, but you will get so much more experience on top of that. TheBank is undergoing a major Transformation and Change Programme and you will get exposure to this.If youre looking to push your career on and experience what its like to work in a finance function thats having a complete finance transformation, somewhere you will get exposure to more than the BAU part of your role, then you should seriously considerthis role.Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation of MonthEnd Financial and Management Accounts
  • Assist the Group FC with financial reporting and analysis
  • Assisting the team implementing new systems and automating the manual part of this role.
  • Processing multiple payments including direct debits, cheques, cash transfers, supplier payment runs and new business payments.
  • Preparing and posting monthly journals.
  • Assisting with the purchase ledger, including the coding and posting of invoices.
  • Dealing with ad-hoc queries as required and supporting the wider finance team.
The successful candidate will be:
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Part Qualified Accountant, ACC, CIMA, ACCA
  • A quick learner who works well under pressure
  • Keen to work within Banking and Financial Services
  • Effective time management, organisational skills and ability to deliver on time
  • Self-starter with a hands-on approach
  • Work experience in an accounting environment is desirable
