Temporary Financial Accountant requiredApprox. 3 months with potential extensionOutskirts of CardiffWFH on offer£14.00 - £17.00 Per Hour + Holiday pay NOW Careers are currently recruiting on behalf of an SME business, based on the outskirts of North Cardiff. They are looking to recruit a temporary Financial Accountant to join their team on a 3-month temporary basis to cover a period of sickness. This isan exciting opportunity to join a growing business and support the Finance Manager with his busy workload.The role will primarily involve taking responsibility of the monthly accounts, to include day to day transactional accounting as well as period end management reporting.Reporting into the Finance Manager, and with a dotted line to the Chief Finance Officer the role is required to maintain the day-to-day financial demands of the business whilst also taking a holistic view of the processes needed to deliver these requirements.Main duties and responsibilities to include -

Maintenance of the day to day transactional accounting for the business, including but not limited to AP, AR, fixed assets, provisions and accruals.
Posting invoices, journals, and other monthly processing.
Responsible for raising and tracking purchase orders
Management of bank payments and credit card transactions.
Liaise with Kenya accountants to ensure intercompany accounts reconcile
Assist in the delivery of group financial accounting including monthly reporting, monthly forecasting, budget preparation, VAT returns, and sales reporting.
Assist in the planning and delivery of the annual audit.
Assist in the planning and delivery of ISO audit.
Responsible for monitoring and reporting on cash flow.
Support the CFO and Finance Manager with strategic forecasting and budgeting requirements.
Collation of KPI and budget performance by channel.
Delivery of company payroll, including expenses.
Management of company pension scheme.
To liaise with bank, insurers, auditors, credit, landlords and lawyers as required on behalf of the CFO.
Provide support and assistance to the CFO.
Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance within the company.
Maintain key registers covering company assets and regular payments

The role will ideally suit an experienced Financial Accountant who has the ability to seamlessly step into the role. You will be an AAT qualified or PQ Accountant, with a proven track record of delivering an exceptional accounts service, whilst maintaininga professional manner. My client will also consider applications from candidates that are Qualified by Experience and have worked within a similar role previously.You will be a self-starter who is happy to muck in as often is required within a small start-up business, and possess excellent Excel skills.
