Job Description

Role: KS2 Teacher - Year 6Location: Whetstone / BarnetStart Date: September 2023Salary: MPS - UPS (depending on experience)Contract: 1 Year Fixed Contract then if successful you will receive a Permanent ContractRT-Education are currently recruiting for a KS2 Teacher, Year 6 Teacher to join Primary School based in Whetstone area.The Primary School is a 1 form entry and are looking for someone to join them from September 2023 till the end of the academic year on a full-time contract, if successful this will then turn into a permanent contract.The ideal candidate will hold QTS and have recent and relevant UK curriculum experience. The KS2 Teacher must be able to create fun and engaging lesson plans as well as managing classroom behaviour.There will either be parking available nearby but certainly a local bus route or train station nearby Whetstone.All schools will have a long-lasting relationship with RT Education, therefore you may be offered a contract with the school or a permanent position once you have proven yourself.

  • Teaching KS2 in Year 6
  • Preparing lessons and resources for the class
  • Providing a safe learning environment for the children to progress in
  • Able to adapt approach to support the needs of the class where needed
  • Ability to delegate and support the teaching assistants within the room
  • Teaching diverse lessons through using the national curriculum to a high standard
Person Specifications:
  • Have previous experience as a KS2, Year 6 Teacher
  • Must have experience in teaching and supporting in SATS
  • Able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills with written and verbal communication skills
  • Having the ability to work alongside co-workers effectively
  • Having an enhanced children’s DBS (we can put this into place if candidate does not have one)
