Job Description

HSEQ Administrator - We are advertising on behalf ofthe leading independent UK distributor of thermal and acoustic insulation, interior systems, fire protection, construction products, roofing, and external faade materials. We are currentlyrecruiting for a HSEQ Administrator to be based at our Wetherby office.As the Distributor of Choice, they take pride in providing the highest level of service and support. They have around 600 employees, with specialist teams dedicated to our key market sectors, and we work hard to add value to every project.The HSEQ Administrator will be required to enrol onto our apprenticeship scheme studying to achieve a L3 NVQ in Health & Safety & a NEBOSH General Certificate within 12 months of their employment. You will be responsible for coordinatingincident records, compliance requirements and schedules and ensuring all relevant reports are carried out and proactively followed up on.Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, you will build key relationships both externally and internally.Other key responsibilities include:

  • Monitor the H&S and Compliance email inboxes.
  • Weekly checking all the incidents recorded and ensuring they match up with other databases.
  • Monitor the receipt of service/inspection reports, distributing them to the relevant stakeholders and filing electronic copies.
  • Monitor compliance with contractor RAMS/Insurance etc.
  • Maintain suppliers certification database.
  • Monitor branch LOLER reports and any remedials and add to database.
  • Monitoring feedback from contractors to ensure quality from providers.
  • Maintain accurate records and updating agency usage.
  • Collating various KPI data and reports from branches and departments and logging data.
  • Monitor complaints logs and escalate where necessary.
  • Maintain our asset registers and compliance schedule.
  • Collating information for carbon footprint reporting.
  • Checking FSC validated suppliers list and branch sales compliance.
  • Support with audit preparations.
  • Supporting the wider HSEQ team with department projects / team meetings etc.
  • Ensure you are familiar with health and safety rules and regulations, and that your responsibilities as an employee, in respect of health and safety, are carried out in full.
As the HSEQ Administrator you will have an interest in Health and Safety, as well as experience within an administrative role. Good communication skills and confidence using Microsoft packages, specifically Excel, are required. Ideally youwill have previous experience working with contractors and working within a compliance role, however this is not essential. You will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to maintain accuracy whilst working to deadlines and be extremely organised.On offer is a competitive salary plus bonus scheme. This is a full-time position 40 hours per week.
