Functional Skills Maths Tutor - Various positionsSalary Range: £30,722.74 to £37,059.78Location: WetherbyJob Type: Full-time, Sessional, 12-month Fixed Term & PermanentWorking Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Thu 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Fri 8:00 am - 1:00 pm)We are seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Maths Tutor to join our team within offender learning in the Wetherby area. This role is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of learners, aiding their personal development and helping them contributepositively to their communities.Day-to-day of the role:

Develop and deliver high-quality lessons in functional skills maths.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Assess learner needs and develop individualised learning plans.
Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
Support learners in achieving their qualifications.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for all learners.
Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes and best practices in functional skills education.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Hold a minimum of Level 2 in Maths and English (GCSE grades 9 to 4, A* to C, or equivalent).
A qualification in the specialist subject area of Functional Skills Maths.
A proven track record of effective teaching within the subject specialism.
A Level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent.
Ability to obtain and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
