CAD/CAM EngineerPerm role, up to £45k pa DOE, Mon to FriWETHERBYInteraction Recruitment are looking for an experienced CAD/CAM /EngineerDesigner with a passion for Precision Engineering and familiar with CNC Programming, to work for a busy and growing Engineering firm based in Wetherby.Working within the Design Team, you will be responsible for designing components and tooling using Fusion360 for a variety of applications within the Automotive, Construction, Road and Rail industries. Day to day tasks for this role will include:-Designing product components, assemblies, and production tooling in line with company standard practices-Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using Fusion360 or similar CAD software-Producing quotes and BOM’s for customers-Liaising and collaborating with the Production and purchasing departments, as well as suppliers-Working alongside the Engineering department on factory instruction documentation and parts lists ensuring costs are understood and communicated-Communicate with clients and contractors throughout the process-Generating CNC Programs for the Turning and Multi-axis Milling Machines-Setting up the CNC Milling and Turning Machines ready for the Production team-Attending weekly meetings with the management team and reporting on progressTo be successful, you will ideally be either a time served Engineer, Engineering Degree holder or have significant experience as a CAD CAM Design Engineer. Other keys skills required:-Proficiency in CAD software including Fusion 360, Solidworks or Catia-Familiarity with CNC programming and machining processes-Knowledge of Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls would be beneficial-Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills-Strong understanding of engineering material properties-Able to make decisions and act quickly on/escalate any problems which arise-Good communication and client-facing skills-Able to work under pressure and prioritise multiple tasks-Hands-on shop floor / Machine shop experience would be advantageousThe core working hours for this role are 7.30am-4.30pm from Monday to Thursday with a 12.30pm finish on a Friday.
