Job Description

CUSTOMER SERVICE ADVISOR / Scheduler - Technical / Helpline8-5pm - Monday-Friday + 1 in 3 Saturdays 9-4pm £25,000 per annum basic + Quarterly Bonus + OTE circa £30-32,000 per annum + overtime (discretionary)* as extraBased: Borough Green, Kent. Benefits: 25 days annual leave, increasing to 30 at 5 years service, pension,life insurance, enhanced maternity and paternity, social events, parking, career progression *overtime paid double rate with a day off in lieu if you want to workAre you an experienced customer service advisor who enjoys going the extra mile for peopleDo you have technical based skills gained within manufacturing/engineering/construction/building/plumbing/utilities etc and can advise on faults/parts and give service advice over the phoneAre you looking to join a well established team who can train and develop your skills while working closely in the customer service team, advising on parts, troubleshooting and trying to overcome issues This role may be for you.The role will entail providing consumer technical and customer service issues on the telephone, either giving advice or taking appropriate action as required.Duties:

  • Give consumer technical/service advice on the telephone to customers
  • Organise and arrange Service Engineer call-outs as necessary and ensure all information is recorded on the internal systems
  • Check previous history on calls and ensure all paperwork is complete
  • Pursue Engineer/Service Agents where necessary to ensure the customer is contacted within specified times
  • Follow-up on problem customers to ensure call-out has been completed and problem solved.
  • Recognise and report extreme/genuine complaint cases and escalate to Supervisor is required
  • Respond to customer letters/emails providing appropriate technical/service advice
  • Check engineer job reports on the computer
