Senior Accounts AssistantMonday- Thursday 8.30am - 5.30pm, Friday 8.30am - 5pm6 month FTCRemote working with visits to the Central London Head Office 1-2 times per monthWe are working with a leading specialist financial services provider with offices globally, who have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Accounts Assistant. Due to the nature of work and client base, the ideal Senior Account Assistant will have experience in either financial services or retail banking. This is a home-based role, however, you will be expected to travel to the Head Office based in Central London 1-2 times per month.The Senior Accounts Assistant will be responsible for assisting in providing Accounting Services to support the Accounts Function in the timely delivery and integrity of the assigned income statements, balance sheet accounts, and year-end Audit.Roles and Responsibilities* Collate information and complete reconciliations on commissions, including ensuring a match to bank statements* Process invoices* Analyse expenses and calculate VAT breakdowns * Download credit card statements and provide commentary and summary* Download currency card statements and provide commentary and summary* Support audit preparation and complete tasks as required* Prepare bank charges and bank interest schedules* Prepare VAT return for review* Prepare commission analysis* Ensure the Fixed Asset Register is up to date* Assist in the completion of the year-end reports* Support in the implementation of the new accounts package* Support audit preparation and complete tasks as required* Complete expense summary* Manage the accounts mailbox* Escalate Accounts concerns promptlyCandidate Profile * PQ in ACCA, ACA, CIMA* At least 2 years of proven experience in an accounts advisory role, preferably either for a financial services company or retail bank* Multi-currency exposure* Demonstrate strong analytical skills, alongside advanced problem-solving* Be a proficient user of MS Excel - Pivot tables, Vlookups* Confident to work on their own with limited guidance due to current home-working situation* Knowledge of Tipalit or Netsuite would be advantageous due to an upcoming software implementationThis role offers a highly competitive salary and benefits including 25 day holiday, workplace pension, employee assistance programme, permanent potentialAt KHR we take care to ensure that you are represented as well as possible so it is worth checking your CV for layout, spelling and grammar as well as making sure it is up to date before you submit.
