Job Description

Digital Optimisation Developer Marketing & Digital Carparking / Trains X2 positionsPerm £42,250 plus benefitsThe Role The Digital Optimisation Developer will be working in the Content and Optimisation function of the Digital Team. The person will have strong web development experience and be passionate about improving digital customer journeys whilst focusing on drivingrevenue and value to the business. The person will be responsible building optimisation and personalisation activities, working closely with the Optimisation Analyst to understand the business requirements for test builds. The Optimisation Developer will alsofeed into prioritising backlogs and the technical feasibility of test ideas.The Company On the outskirts of London, a small settlement was demolished entirely in 1944 to make room for the site of the organisation. In 2021 theorganisations year celebrated its 75th anniversary and is known globally as being one the busiest and successful organisations in the world.Key Accountabilities

  • Acting as a technical subject matter expert on AB Testing implementation best practices, keeping up with industry updates and bringing change and innovation in our processes.
  • Implementing the optimisation and personalisation activities within our testing platform (Adobe
  • Target) on desktop, mobile and mobile app.
  • Support and improve the quality of our core solution (Adobe Target).
  • Support Optimisation Analyst in driving change and optimisation in the wider digital organisation.
  • Proactively monitor optimisation activities for quality issues, raise problems and thrive to improve
  • our work.
  • Contribute to the prioritisation process and help shape the optimisation and personalisation
  • Ensure no quality issues with test code before they are put into production
Projects they would be working on
  • A brand-new proposition for car parking (biggest revenue driver from a Digital POV)
  • Boutique - second biggest revenue drive, plenty of testing opportunities
  • HEX, a new opportunity for testing, used to be managed by the HEX team but now sits with us
  • Website support content team to self-serve A/B tests
  • Personalisation - Help get omnichannel experiences off the ground, working with different channel owners, audiences, and segmentation

Experience
  • Advanced JavaScript coding knowledge and professional experience. Knowledge of JavaScript best
  • coding practises, version control and troubleshooting mechanisms.
  • Experience in building complex AB testing and optimisation experiences (ideally in Adobe Target).
  • Web debugging and troubleshooting. Knowledge of how browsers, cookies, storage, HTTP
  • protocols work.
  • Excellent organisational skills being able to balance multiple deadlines at once
  • An understanding of web design principles and how changing UX affects our customer experience.
Absolute essential experience
  • Extensive A/B testing - in a function flow/customer journey
Desirable
  • Experience of DMPs (e.g. Adobe Audience Manager)
  • Comfortable presenting to a variety of stakeholders at different levels within the organisation
